Chocolate tasting with the professionals

At our fastest-selling event, guests spent an evening at The Cocoa Rooms in Rossett taste-testing new chocolate sensations, learning about chocolate-making and sharing ideas with the chocolatiers for creating new products using even more local ingredients.

Campfire culinary evening with Chefcampers.com

Guests joined Campfire Chef Mike in the woods for a unique and absorbing quality dining experience over an open fire. All food was locally-sourced and prepared over the expertly-managed fire, with guests involved in the whole process from foraging to eating.

Shlizzy cocktail making and cheese nibbles on the farm

Guests enjoyed a magical evening on this family farm making their own cocktails using Shlizzy liqueurs, from fruit grown on the farm, with buffet nibbles provided by The Little Cheesemonger and local beers.

Apples and dance at the Daniel Owen Festival

Bringing local traditions to life, Apples and Dance was a visual feast combining apple pressing and traditional dancing. Guests pressed juice from local apples, tasted local specialties and heard from experts on heritage orchards as part of the week-long Daniel Owen Festival held annually in Mold.

Catered canoeing across a local landmark

Guests ventured by canoe across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct – the longest aqueduct in Great Britain and the highest canal aqueduct in the world before enjoying a locally-sourced canal-side provided by Lot 11, an award-winning cafe in Wrexham. As well as delicious food, the event included canoe tuition and the guided tour.

An eggstraordinary Farm Visit

At this sold out event, guests explored Clyttir Farm learning how local free range eggs reach the kitchen table. Farmer David Sharples led a tour of his chicken sheds and fields and talked about the challenges of collecting, sorting and packing eggs to ensure year-round egg production and keep his chickens happy & healthy.
