Snowdonia Cheese Company releases Rock Star
– its first vintage cave-aged Cheddar
The Snowdonia Cheese Company are holding a tasting session at the Rhug Farm Shop on the 22nd October to celebrate the launch of Rock Star, their vintage cave-aged Cheddar, aged deep underground within Welsh slate caves in the heart of Snowdonia,
Encased in bespoke cobalt-coloured wax to celebrate the rocks of the historical mines it’s aged in, Rock Star is set to become a Christmas favourite with a deeper flavour and denser texture thanks to its 18 months maturation spent underground.
Founded in North Wales and having won multiple awards since launching in 2001. Snowdonia Cheese Company is a family business run by the sons of third-generation dairy farmers. A recent recipient of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, recognising the company’s Outstanding Continuous Growth within the International Trade category, Snowdonia Cheese has also been named the “Best British Cheese Brand” in the Fine Food Digest’s Best Brands survey six times.
